My husband has been been getting worse with regards to his strength, balance and range of motion so he had an MRI done to rule out a syrinx. He used to be able to walk independently with a walker and now some days he can barely stand. The report said "Focal area of hydrosyringomylia centered at the C3-4 level" but does not mention the word syrinx. I thought the two went together. Has any one else got syringomylia but no cyst? Not sure if we need to find a neurosurgeon or not.
