Magic Bullet mucus question

I've been successfully using the magic bullet program daily for the past 7 years. Since I can remember there's always the mucus to deal with at the end of the procedure. I heard that if 1/3 of the bullet is cut off, the amount of mucus will be reduced. Is there any truth to this?
